One-Day Course
   Prices:
      Individual: $800
      Group: $700

  • Overview of Clinical Skills Assessment
  • Review of essential skills assessed by Clinical Skills Assessment
  • Demonstrations and faculty sessions
  • 8 to 10-station, individualized Clinical Skills Assessment (15 minutes per Standardized Patient [SP] visit and 10 minutes per patient note)
  • Immediate, detailed and individualized performance profiles assessing scores for each of the areas of a Clinical Skills Examination:
      —conducting a relevant patient history
      —performing a focused physical examination
      —providing diagnosis and management
      —communication and interpersonal skills
      —writing a patient note for accuracy and completeness
  • Individual and small group (2) skills review and teaching session for focused practice with SPs, Teaching Associates and faculty
  • After examinations, instructors and students review videotapes to point out errors and skills that could be improved.
  • A final practice session to refine and cement new skills
  • Takeaway review material for USMLE Step 2 CS preparation
  • Tips on obtaining a focused history, performing a relevant physical examination, and writing a patient note for a timed assessment are integrated throughout the day.

Two-Day Course
   Prices:

      Group: $1,000

The Two-Day Clinical Skills Review Course is offered for students and residents who feel they need more than one day of verbal feedback and practice. This course may have particular interest for students and residents who have not had a lot of experience with SPs or timed clinical skills assessment. It includes:

  • All offerings of the One-Day Clinical Skills Review Course
  • Additional 8-10 Station Clinical Skills Assessment
  • Additional individual practice with SPs, Teaching Associates and Faculty
